Cloud sync failed — what to check

Last updated Sep 25, 2026

Sync usually fixes itself on the next attempt. When it doesn't, work down this list.

Checklist

  1. Are you signed in? Open Settings — if it offers sign-in, you're signed out; sign in and sync resumes.
  2. Is Pro active? Cloud sync requires a Pro subscription. Without it, the Backup card in Settings says Cloud backup & sync across devices is a Pro feature. — if Pro lapsed, sync pauses (your local data is untouched). See Cancel your subscription or request a refund for what lapsing does and doesn't affect.
  3. Do you have a connection? Paddock Wi-Fi lies. Try cellular, or wait for real signal — the app is offline-first and will catch up.
  4. Still connected to your MyChron's Wi-Fi? The AiM-… network has no internet. The Backup card tells you when this is why uploads are waiting; they go through once you rejoin normal Wi-Fi or cellular.
  5. Retry manually. Tap Sync now on the Backup card in Settings and watch what it reports. If anything failed, the card lists each session with a reason — for example No internet connection, Sign-in expired, or Upload rejected — and Details shows the full error.
  6. Update the app. A store update can carry fixes the sync needs; old app versions can stop syncing against newer cloud changes.

Reading the markers

There's no separate "not backed up" badge on sessions anymore — check the Backup card in Settings to see what's still pending (All backed up, a count waiting to back up, or a count that failed and will retry).

Still failing?

Email contact@lappersnapper.com with your account email, roughly when it started, and what the Backup card says — tap Details and include that text. A screenshot shortens the back-and-forth.
