Install LapperSnapper on your phone
Last updated Sep 25, 2026
LapperSnapper runs on iPhone and Android phones.
Steps
- Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
- Search for LapperSnapper.
- Tap Get / Install. The download is free.
- Open the app. You land on the Sessions screen with a demo session so you can explore the analysis before you record anything.
That's it — no sign-up, no card. You only create an account later if you want Pro, cloud backup, the weather for your sessions' track conditions, or to join a team.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Location — needed to record with your phone's GPS, to identify which track you're at, and to show the conditions where you're standing in the Garage. Choose "While Using the App".
- Bluetooth — needed only if you connect a RaceBox.
- Local network / Wi-Fi — needed only if you download sessions from a MyChron.
- Motion & Fitness (iPhone) — lets the app read your phone's barometer, so the air density it shows is measured rather than estimated.
- Notifications — asked only if you turn on Notifications in Settings.
- Photos / Camera — needed only if you set a profile picture or, for team owners, a team or vehicle photo.
You can decline anything you don't use; importing files works without any of them.
