Export a session to VBO, CSV, or GPX
Last updated Sep 25, 2026
Your data isn't locked in. Any session with GPS can be exported as a file other tools open — a RaceLogic .vbo for racing-analysis software, a GPX track for mapping apps, or a CSV table for spreadsheets and your own scripts.
Export one session
- Open the session and go to the Laps tab.
- Tap Export below the lap list.
- Choose RaceLogic .vbo, GPX, or CSV.
- On a phone, the share sheet opens — save the file to Files, AirDrop it, or send it to another app. In the web app, the file downloads.
You always get the whole session, every lap, in one file named after the track and date. Exporting a single session is free on every plan. If a session has no GPS data, Export is greyed out.
Which format?
- RaceLogic .vbo — GPS, your device's channels, and the start/finish and sector lines. Opens in Circuit Tools, RaceChrono, and TrackAddict, and LapperSnapper can import it back.
- GPX — the track only: position, altitude, speed, and time, one segment per lap. Opens in Google Earth, Strava, and Komoot. No channels.
- CSV — one row per GPS point: time, lap, distance, position, speed in km/h and mph, and every channel your device recorded. Made for spreadsheets and tools like pandas or R — the # lines at the top describe the session, so tell your tool to skip them. LapperSnapper can't import a CSV back.
The .vbo and CSV files carry your vehicle and driver name, so check before you post them publicly.
Export several sessions at once (Pro)
- On the Sessions screen, press and hold a session to start selecting.
- Tap more sessions, or Select all.
- Tap Export and pick a format. You get one file per session.
Only sessions whose files are on this device can be selected, so download cloud-only sessions first. In the web app each file is a separate download, and your browser may block some — check its download bar if any are missing.
