Race engineer: your per-session coaching summary

Last updated Sep 25, 2026

Every session gets a Race engineer card on its Overview tab — the app's read on where your time is. It's calculated from your own session data on the device, not written by an AI, so it works with no signal at the track. It appears once a session has GPS-timed laps to analyze.

The top line

Three numbers: Best lap, Ultimate lap (your best sectors stitched together), and the Gap between them — time you've already driven, just never in one lap. See Sectors and the ultimate lap.

The findings

  • FOCUS · MARKER — the corner costing you the most, with its time on the right. Slow at the apex means you carried less apex speed there; Time lost here means you were slower through it without a clear apex cause.
  • Further MARKER rows — the next corners, in order of time lost.
  • STRENGTH — a corner your best lap already takes quickest.
  • CONSISTENCY — how tightly your lap times cluster, from Very repeatable to Not repeatable yet.

Marker numbers match the numbered dots on the Map tab; the app creates them, so they may not match official turn numbers. The ? button explains the symbols beside each finding.

Free and Pro

Free shows the top line, your focus corner, strengths, and consistency for every session; further corners read Unlock every corner with Pro. Pro shows every corner, plus a callout when the same corner keeps costing you across sessions at the track — for example "Marker 3 again — 4 of your last 5 sessions here." See Corner coaching: find where you lose time.

Copy for AI (Pro)

The sparkle button, Copy for AI, turns the session into a text briefing to paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI assistant for a deeper debrief: lap and sector times, the Race engineer findings, best-lap channel ranges, the session's conditions when you have them, and your recurring corners at the track. It never includes GPS coordinates or your name. Tap Copy or Share.
