Track conditions: weather and air density on every session

Last updated Sep 25, 2026

Every session carries the weather it ran in — looked up automatically for the place and hour it was recorded — plus an air density figure, so you can tell whether a slower day was you or the air.

Where to find it

Open a session and tap the Setup tab: the Conditions card is at the top. On Overview, the Day row sums it up — tap it to jump to Setup.

What the card shows

  • The big figure: Relative air density as a percentage, or Density altitude in feet if your speed unit is mph. It's marked approximate when the session has no usable altitude or no humidity. Tap it for Air density detail: SAE correction factor, air density, station and sea-level pressure, and dew point.
  • Air, Humidity, Wind, Sky, and Station pressure from OpenWeather for the nearest hour. The line below says how far the weather point was from your session, with the Weather data provided by OpenWeather credit.
  • Track temperature: tap Tap to enter and type your IR reading.
  • Track (Dry, Damp, Wet, Drying) and Grip (Green, Normal, Rubbered): tap a chip to tag, tap it again to clear. If rain was reported that hour and the track isn't tagged, or is tagged Dry, the card points it out.

Correct a value

Tap a fetched cell to edit it. Edited values get a small dot; Revert to fetched undoes one field and Revert all undoes every edit. Station edits the sea-level pressure it's worked out from, in hPa.

When there's no weather

  • Sign in to fetch conditions — weather needs an account; Free is fine.
  • No date on this session — tap Set date, pick when it ran, and the weather is fetched for that hour.
  • No position in this session — the file has no GPS position to look up.
  • Weather service busy, will retry or Could not fetch conditions — you're offline or the service had a hiccup. The app tries again when you open the session or return to the app, backing off to once a day; Retry forces it.

Imported a session before its hour was over? The first figures are OpenWeather's forecast for that hour; the app fetches again after the hour ends and keeps your tags and edits.

Free vs Pro

Weather, air density, tags, and edits are Free. The vs last time here line — today's air against your most recent session within about 3 km — and the change figures in the detail sheet are Pro.
