Read the session Overview

Last updated Oct 1, 2026

Open any session from Sessions and you land on the Overview tab — the summary that tells you how the session went before you dig into charts.

What's on it

  • The headline numbers — track, date, best and average lap time, laps driven, distance, and top GPS speed.
  • Vehicle — which of your machines this session belongs to; tap to assign or change. See Assign sessions to a vehicle.
  • Day — one line summing up the session's conditions: air temperature, the track state you tagged (Dry, Damp, Wet, or Drying), and an air-density figure. Tap it to jump to the Setup tab. If nothing is recorded yet, it reads Set conditions instead.
  • Race engineer — the coach's read on the session: your best lap, your ultimate lap and the gap between them, then the corners costing you time. Your single biggest time-loss corner is always analyzed for free; Pro unlocks the full ranked list of every corner. See Race engineer: your per-session coaching summary and Corner coaching: find where you lose time.
  • Notes — your own notes on the session: setup, conditions, feel.

Tire checks aren't on Overview. Pressures, temperatures, wear tags, and photos live under Tire check on the Setup tab, together with the session's conditions, setup sheet, and fitted tire-set information. See Log your tire pressures.

Where to go next

From Overview, work through the tabs left to right:

  1. Map — see the line you actually drove.
  2. Laps — scan lap times and sectors for your quick ones.
  3. Compare — put your best against another lap and find the differences.
  4. Channels — check the data traces behind them.

Five minutes in that order, between runs, is the core LapperSnapper habit.
