Leaving or removing a driver from a team
Last updated 20 days ago
A driver can leave, or be removed by the owner, at any time. What happens to their data afterward depends on three separate mechanisms — easy to mix up, so it's worth knowing them apart.
Immediately: the team stops seeing new sessions
The moment someone leaves or is removed, coaches lose visibility into anything that driver records going forward. This part happens instantly, no matter what else applies below.
Archive: a frozen record of what was shared
Paid teams keep a permanent archive of the sessions and details that were shared while the person was a member — a record of what the team saw at the time, not a live feed. It doesn't change after they leave.
Grace period: cloud sync can lapse
If the person who left wasn't personally on Pro, their cloud sync was riding on the team's subscription. That sync lapses 60 days after they leave — unless they hold their own Pro plan, in which case their own data and sync are unaffected.
Erasure: only by the person's own choice
Leaving or being removed doesn't erase anyone's data. The only way data is permanently deleted is the driver deleting their own account. See Delete your account.
