Creating and Managing Incidents

Create an incident
- Go to Incidents in the sidebar
- Click Create Incident
- Enter a title, severity, and initial status message
- Select affected services
Severity levels
- Minor — Low impact, workaround available
- Major — Significant impact on core functionality
- Critical — Complete outage or data loss risk
Incident statuses
- Investigating — You're aware and looking into it
- Identified — Root cause found
- Monitoring — Fix deployed, watching for recurrence
- Resolved — Issue is fixed
Posting updates
Add updates to an incident to keep subscribers informed. Each update can change the status. Affected services are automatically updated when the incident status changes.
Subscriber notifications
When you create or update an incident, all confirmed subscribers with incident notifications enabled receive an email.
